Greetings from your President.

I have been on the road a lot this year representing the chapter at several events. I started off in Green Bay in May meeting our friends from the Packer City as they hosted the spring GLRC. What a good time! I must report that an event took place that man nor beast ever thought would, a Minnesota Viking fan was seen in the hall of Lambeau. Yes it is true, Wag’s has the photos to prove it. I must admit I had a good time at the hall of fame. Well worth the time and effort. Weather was good, food and drinks a plenty. Apple Pie flowed on Saturday night and I’m told I did my part to help. Fried Chicken from Galesburg was also in town and he is someone you have to meet. He is an honorary member from Galesburg, IL. He pulled out his Challenge coin and the game was on…..and his wallet a few dollars shorter.

June found me at the state convention in Onalaska. The LaCrosse Chapter offered up a damn good time for all of us. A pub north of town has a burger that is four pounds….WOW ! One of the lads from WI I made a run at it but had to get a doggie bag. Tiny from Milwukee VI and I from ran to the river boat casino…guess they have cash for fuel for another few weeks. Dinner Saturday night, Oh My God! Smoked ribs, pulled pork right from the smoker. You could not beat this meal. Weather was hit and miss but we made it work and kudos to the LaCrosse lads for an outstanding job !

I am very proud and very pleased to report that your chapter had a great turn out for the Tomorrow’s Hope , Ride with a Buddy on July 23rd. As you all know this is our time to shine and show support to the community. I had the honor of being lead bike with a survivor of Cystic Fibrosis. As we finished the ride and returned to the Jefferson County Fair grounds, my passenger was handed a torch and I followed the two JESO Motor officers into a standing ovation. As a side note your VP was one of the motor officers from JESO. What a great feeling it was! My passenger had never been on a motorcycle before and had a thrill of a life time. A very special ceremony took place presented by the Honor Guard from Jefferson County to remember all that have fallen to their illness. Very moving and very well done. Kudos to the JESO Honor Guard.

Now I’m kicking my feet out on my highway pegs and gearing up for the Breast Cancer event in a few weeks and working on raffles for our Chili fund raiser in October. In closing, recruit a new member or invite some one to just check us out. Keep it upright, and I’ll see you on the asphalt.

Ride with Pride, you're a Blue Knight !
